I was wondering who the question was intended for?

Multiple hard drives are used for storing anything the user feels the need to store, save or backup.
If you've ever had a hard drive failure and lost data, then you tend to keep data (system backups, music, pictures, movies, etc) on a couple of drives.

Everyone should keep a system image backup as a minimum.
These should be stored on a separate HDD in case of HDD failure.
This will enable you to restore everything as it was when you did the backup, you won't have to re-install OS and programs, and will take 15-20 minutes.

If you have more than one computer in your house, then you need more backup and storage space. With the current reasonable HDD prices it's a good idea to keep your backups on a separate HDD, external HDD works best.

If you have say, five computers in your house it wouldn't be unusual to have a total of 10 or more HDDs.

This is basic system recovery planning.

Tested it on the fireplace ledge, before moving it onto the desk.

Besides it's a propane fireplace for looks only, & it's really to HOT in Arizona
to use a fireplace

After modding my Nemesis Elite case a bit (changed the Red NEMESIS to Blue, some other minor things as well) I finally am ready to show it on here.

Oh well, the original NEMESIS logo was red (see below) but the LED that made it red was actually a blinking HDD LED. I cut the cables and attached a blue LED to it (see below);





Then I mounted inside this part of the case, which was another LED but the blinks are noticeable despite being the same color;




Also, its not TO noticeable but there are two 120mm screwed together for intake on the side panel. It actually has kept my GTX 260 and Intel E6750 (@3.8GHz) below 40C idle and below 55C full load. Also theres a small 80mm fan blowing air from the HDD bay to the back of the GTX 260 for an extra boost.

Yes big monitors make all the difference in the world, you have to see it to believe it, eh Doc.
