Hey noober, I love your sig, Farcry 4 is boss. I've never been good with photoshop or anything, so making my own is out of the question. I'd love to be able to get my own one day. I'm a huge asus ROG fan, which is why I use the hero mobo.

heres a quick run at 1.3V and 1364/7404. i finally got everything hammered down and what was causing my issues. currently im using an older driver (344.48), stock LN2 Bios, Classy voltage tool, and MSI Afterburner (despite having no voltage control).

i found out a few things here:

1) EVGA Precision X16 sucks. it was the cause of my annoying stutter and lower scores
2) For benching, it is better to use the classy voltage tool because the voltage is constant and dosnt fluctuate like the hardware voltages do depending on load.
3) Clean install of drivers is always a must
4) USE A DIGITAL MULTIMETER!!!!!!!

What was reported in ALL programs was completely inaccurate! this card is boosting to 1.247V STOCK while all programs were reading 1.187-1.200V. So this run was rock stable. it wasnt pushing at all. tomorrow i will try for 1400MHz 1.3V and make the top of the board!

P.S.
Sorry Solar :D

Wow... that brings back some great childhood memories. I turned 30 in August and I'd do anything to go back to those days. 16 years ago is when I built my first rig. A P3 450 with 128mb Ram, 13gb HD, a 17' 1600x1200 monitor and a 3dfx Voodoo Banshee 16mb Video Card. Quake 2 and a dial up internet connection...nothing like it.:geek:

I remember spending about 2 days researching, trying to figure out if I wanted the banshee or the riva TNT card, because it could do 32bit color. I was so certain that glide would take over back then.

Hi. Noober. I wish you a lot of luck moving up the charts. You have a great card and the right card to do it. Benchmarking is what those cards are made for. If you don't know who Kingpin is, you may want to read about him. I believe he holds world records in overclocking Graphics cards. So, he would tell you that for him to allow a card to have his name on it, a card has to be a real serious overclocking contender. You have one of those cards and they are strong as acid. I wish you luck at getting to the top of the chart. If you have the right set up, you could possibly do it. But I would guess it would take a minimum of putting it under water or maybe LN2 to get in excess of 1600 MHz to do it. That is a tall order for any 700 series card. I think Paul and I found out what the max is on a 700 card on Air. He will tell you about that. He and I both love a friendly challenge. There is a thread here that shows how much fun it can be. He and I had a ball. Everyone else loved it too. It's the thing that makes these threads fun to watch. I suspect when a few more people get 980s and the 980TI's or Titans come out, you will see some very serious numbers put up on these boards. Whether I'll be a Participant this time or not, I don't know. I do know I do love a challenge, but I'm not sure I still have it in me to push very hard. I do know the card has it in it, but I don't think I have it in me. I still like to play a little, but serious overclocking; I'm really not sure and don't think so. But, Paul will probably tell you I do. I just don't think he is right on that one. Although, I will admit, I am not above sandbagging. Good luck to you, and just remember, no guts, no glory. Paul is thinking about a 970. I suspect with his skills at overclocking, he will be a threat to me with a lesser card. Paul is the Master overclocker here. The only piece of advice I will give you is don't talk about challenging the top guys on the charts of any benchmarking thread. They take big talk seriously. There was someone here who did and his score ended up way down the list. There's some serious overclockers here, who you do not want to issue a challenge. I don't consider myself one of them right now. So, my advice to you is don't talk about it, just do it and throw the numbers up. Just putting a number up is enough of a challenge. Talking about it just adds fuel to the fire and will cost you in the end. A few here can tell you that from experience. Dude has the right idea and does it right. He knows to never throw the gauntlet down. Just shut up and crank up the voltage. Dude's the man.

I need some help if anyone can give me an idea as to what is going on.

For some reason, I can no longer change the voltage on my cards. Before I added the 3rd one, I could change it. And now for some reason, they are locked. Card 1 and 3 are at 1.250 and the 2nd is at 1.256. Any ideas?

Yeah, I always use DDU(Disk Driver Uninstaller) every time before I update drivers. I've had too many problems/conflicts in the past to not do it.

ok do this:

Make a restore point and Registry backup
Uninstall normally through control panel
download Auslogics registry cleaner
reboot in safe mode
go through program files and program x86 and delete ALL AMD folders and files
go into app data and do the same
go into program data and do the same
go into Regedit
go through Current user, local machine, and users >software> delete ALL AMD entries
open up Auslogics
check all the boxes on the left
run it 3X
open up DDU
run DDU normally
reboot
reinstall drivers
set up CCC
reboot
open DDU
return windows update to normal

SikMindZ, just for a try. Even DDU usually does not uninstall the actual drivers. They are in a folder wherever CCC and AMD installs your drivers. Find the drivers and manually delete them. Then uninstall from add/remove programs. That is what I do with the Nvidia drivers. Physically remove them from the computer. Try to make it as much like a clean install of the OS as you can. Then install the new drivers, but select a custom install and only install what you actually use. You do not need any of the audio junk both AMD and Nvidia install. You do not actually normally need CCC. All that you really need is the graphics drivers. You may need more than normal with your set up. If you actually need it, install it. But don't install anything you do not use. Just a suggestion that may or may not help. If the program you use to set your voltage is an actual installed program, uninstall it. When you are completed installing everything else, install a fresh copy of it. Are you running a modded bios on your cards? If you are and none of the above works, reflash the bios.

Good suggestions by Noober, just as long as you do step #1 first and even a system image just in case everything goes to crap. But Noober's suggestions are good. Desperate times need desperate measures.
