Boosted processor score to 7.7 by changing default mobo memory speed from 1333 Mhz to 1600 Mhz (what my memory speed is rated for)
Looks good, is it time to OC that CPU?
I'll bet you can easily get a 7.8 out of it
Nice upgrades, always great fun changing the componets.
How does the new system feel compared to the old one?
Feels great. I know it's one of the old i7s, but I got it for a nice price off a mate, so thought I'd save myself a bit of money. The SSD makes the world of difference, which I'm sure you've seen with your SSD. Just a shame I can't put everything on it![]()
Sounds like a good deal.
SSDs are great, will be nice when they're cheaper than HDDs![]()
Haven't a clue how to OC, tried reading up on it but sounds confusing, however when most of my warranties run out and I have a functioning bank account again than it's BBQ time Ha Ha.
Right now I am working on speeding up POST time and windows start-up time (58 sec now, 78 sec previous)
