I read an interesting article awhile back. It was discussing how to get a 7.9 CPU. The conclusion seemed to be that it would take a true 8 core processor with hyperthreading. Not sure how true that is, but I don't think I have ever seen a 7.9 that wasn't being cooled with nitrogen.

But I believe I have seen at least one user in this thread that had a perfect score. CBB trying to find it. Not sure if it was modified or genuine though.

By the time I figure out how to get a 7.9, Windows will move the top score to 8.9.

i think though that if you get all your scores starting with a 7 then you have built a really fast PC that you can be proud of, theres always something bigger and better around the next corner!

I can't disagree with that. Besides, it wouldn't be in my best interest.

The WEI doesn't mean all that but here is mine on my latest build. Just finishing up my review of the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme board; nice board I might add. The big thing with this build is the new SSD I tossed on it, the OWC Mercury Pro 6G SATA III drive. This thing is smoking fast.

I find various lengths for both, probably due to manufacturer. I assume depending on heatsink/fan assy(s). I found this on the same site:

The GT9800 Height: 4.376 in Length: 9 in

The GTX 560ti Height: 4.376 in Length: 9 in

But saw as low as 8.5, and as high as 10.23. Do you have a particular manufacturer in mind?

The two 560ti cards I have are from ASUS roughly 9" long and they are small sitting next to the 570 DCII I just put in my system.

You will really like the 560 it is a sweet card.

Thanks for taking time to answer this 1, Height isn't the main issue it is the lengh, the drive bay makes it hard to fit. This was the issue with my old board Asus M2N32SLI Deluxe. (I imagine the card placement is the same as I have the same case.
