Very nice scores. Better than mine. I never have been able to get a CPU score over 7.6.

It reflects the ram and SSD speed. I still have not seen a CPU get 7.9, but they will get 7.8.

Steve, 7.6 or 7.7 - what's the difference. Mine is also 7.6, but it does the job. If you OCd it, you could probably get it to 7.9. But that is only nums.

Hmm, you OCd it to what GHz. And is it an i5K or an i7.

OC'd to 4.7 and still got a 7.6. It's a 2500K. Not a real big deal and I don't run it every day that high. Just testing. I'll admit, the only reason I did it is just because I can. I have had it at 4.8, but never tried any higher, I knew I wasn't going to run it that high, Ijust wanted to see how high it would go without doing any 'real work'.

So that is an i5. That is probably why it does not go higher. Only 2 real cores.

The i5 has 2 cores on the laptop version but 4 cores on the desktop version. On the desktop K versions it is basically the same as the i7-2600K but without hyperthreading.

Hmm, I did not know that. I only have an i5 on my laptop.
