Same case here too. Windows says my HDD is slow but man it's pretty fast I should say !

Slow or fast is in the eye of the beholder. With a mechanical drive, you cannot expect wonders - e.g. a boot of 30 sec may seem fast. But when you are used to SSDs, that is slow.

just obtained this brand new

TOSHIBA Satellite L750D-14R 64 bit win 7

when i run the WEI it only shows 3.7 ?

is it me or does this seam rather low for this pc ?

ps this is the chip installed, its all straight from the shop with no tweaks or anything

no the slowest speed is the chip
this laptop reaplces a 5 yr old sony viao so i was expecting a much better number, alas both the old and the new laptops appear to have similar numbers ...this cant be right ?

Why don't you post picture of that WEI ?

It does sound about right for that chips specs, but don't put too much stock in the WEI. I don't think it actually takes advantage of the turbo boost function that the E-450 has during testing.

As far as the WEI is concerned - that's it mate.

With a 1.6GHz processor you cannot expect any better. I would not worry too much about it. If it does the job, it is OK.

Hi,

I built my first computer recently with the goal of never (with luck) needing to do anything to it.

I had some trouble initially, thanks again to usasma for all the help, now my computer is all working I wanted to.. well show it off really.

Not entirely sure if I should attempt the fabled 7.9 with overclocking but it currently works, so it will stay like this for a while.
