It's on by default.

Basically when you have a task that requires 'more oomph', one of the cores 'auto-overclocks' a bit to provide more performance.

Overall with the newer chip and improved architecture compared to whatever was in the Vaio, performance should be up across the board.

The E-450 isn't meant to be a powerhouse, more of a low power 'all in one chip' for simple tasks and HD video playback.

OCing probably will not buy you a lot. What is the SSD ?? I never get 7.9 - 7.8 is best I ever got (from 6 different SSDs)

Hi,

I built my first computer recently with the goal of never (with luck) needing to do anything to it.

I had some trouble initially, thanks again to usasma for all the help, now my computer is all working I wanted to.. well show it off really.

Not entirely sure if I should attempt the fabled 7.9 with overclocking but it currently works, so it will stay like this for a while.

The SSD is an OCZ Agility 3, it's connected to the sata 3 and set to AHCI.

Although it's my second one, first one caused me many issues as it was faulty and confirmed dead by ebuyer and replaced.

Going to put together a different system in the next few days, maybe I can get the new system to 7.9 across the board with a little OC on the i7 3960X. 7.8 on this 3930K is pretty good since it is running at stock right now.

Don't look at my system specs right now, I have sold a couple weeks ago when I started reviewing the new X79 motherboards.
