I just picked up one of these for my netbook (HP Mini 210-2070NR). Newegg.com - OCZ Solid 3 SLD3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC
it was in dire need of speed. It takes much longer than i want to wait for start up and shut down sometimes. I already added an extra gig of RAM to it, but that wasn't enough hahaha :o

I'll probably end up putting the larger SSD in my desktop, and putting the SSD i'm using now into the netbook. I'd rather have the extra space on my home machine

Not sure, it's just a single M4, the M4's do tend to score well in most benchmarks.

It's also worth noting that when I ran WEI on windows 8 I only had a single 560ti, not the 2 that I now have. This may or may not have an effect on the graphics rating.

I don't have windows 8 on the PC anymore so cannot try it out.

Old dog, new tricks!

My dad gave me his old Dell XPS 400, I dunno, about 3 years ago. He had it for maybe 3 years before that. The thing is a dinosaur by modern computing standards.

It came stock from Dell with an Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz dual core, 2 GB of RAM, a 256 MB GPU (I still have!) and some kind of Sound Blaster audio card.

When I got a hold of it, I promptly put a Linux distro on it and ran like that for well over a year. Then, I decided to max the RAM to 4 GB and drop a GeForce 9500 GT with 1 GB of vRAM in it. I also put a SSD in at one point. AWESOME! It ran Linux like a charm. However, with the advent of the Gnome 3 and Unity desktop environments, I decided to put Windows 7 x64 on it.

Here is the WEI with all the stuff I just mentioned:

Overall WEI = 4.5

Processor: 4.5
Memory (RAM): 5.4
Graphics: 4.9
Gaming Graphics: 6.3
Primary HD: 7.5

:(

Today, I received some very reasonably priced upgrade parts.
I installed an Intel Pentium D 3.6 GHz dual core processor, a Zotac GTX 440 with 2 GB vRAM and an Asus Xonar DG audio card with S/PDIF fiber optic out.

Here is the difference the CPU and GPU made. It's not much but it is a significantly snappier overall experience. I can now play Diablo III without any problems!

This machine was given to me when my dad bought a new computer. I keep throwing upgrades at it and it keeps on ticking. Think I've done everything to it that can be done outside a PSU upgrade so I can run an even BETTER GPU.
Good upgrade buggsy!
