I have added one little SSD
The old WD Caviar Green = 5.9 and with my new ssd (sata2) =7.5

Thank you guys, i like it, its real fast once booted in windows.., but the boot time is only 7-8 sec faster than before.
Im trying to find out if there is something else to do, but that's for another thread

lol... I'm not to worried about the .1, when I first installed the driver update my score dropped to 7.7. I got one of those .2 back after I cleaned my box and moved my gpu's to use two x16 slots instead of two x8. So I guess I'll see how the NF200 chip work out.



P.S. A few pages back there was a of 7.9 overall score. :sarc:

I updated to the newest nVIDIA driver and my score went from 7.4 to 6.7, so I rolled 'er back.
I have a theory on new and improved drivers. If it's working now, it's fine.

Nvidia drivers that is the truth...and they are so much fun to "roll back". :banghead:

LOL, well I didn't use Windows roll back method. I used Driver Sweeper and completely uninstalled then reinstalled the oldie but goodie.

Windows roll back won't work on the Nvidia drivers. That was my point.

Uninstall working driver, install new driver that suxs. Curse the new driver for an hour. Uninstall suxy driver then reinstall old driver.

Just a party every time.

That's probably a $7,000 - $8000 computer isn't it? I mean my computer can plow through anything that gets thrown at it, but yours, a monster. Mind me asking what tasks are needed for so much power? I know it cannot be gaming because my computer runs Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings at 1440 x 900 with approximately 40fps.

I only seem to be having hardrive issues. Everything in my computer is 2011, except the case, power-supply and hardrive, which is November of 2008.

You don't so much have "hard drive issues", as have a spinner HDD. An SSD would "correct" those issues

You don't have HDD issues.... 5.9 is the BEST a HDD can score, to do better you would need a SSD.

As for mine, I'll sell it in a heartbeat for that price....lol You buying??

Total for everything (mouse,monitors,keyboard,lights...everything) would be around $3300.00, but that price is when I built it. You could built it today for probably hundreds less..... As for what I need it for.... Ha, I don't need it but it's my hobby... I do game,encode videos...ect, I also use it for a home "hub" so to speak... sharing files to all computers and Streaming videos to all tv's.

It's a Beast(imo) but it will get it psu kicked by many others here....Right smarteyeball....lol
