A lot of people here are posting WEI CPU with overclocked CPU. How about trying to go the opposite spectrum: the WEI score of laptop 2.20 GHz i7-2670qm underclocked to 100 MHz per core (the lowest frequency it allowed to be set). It turned out to be 1.1 . At that state the laptop often freezes when even doing very light multitasking.

Thought I'd post mine since I haven't posted here in AGESS.

I've actually got 2 GTS 240's in there atm, only one is showing on there though. Having some problems getting them to talk in SLI, probably because I'm trying it on a mobo that's not certified or whatever it is. The second card is in and works fine on an x1 slot. Dunno, will think about it later.

Planning on buying another 8GB ram soon too, just to max it out and give my VM's some more breathing space.
IIRC, the hard drive score goes up to 6.4+ when I'm on the SSD. I need to use that more.

Yep. Time to OC that baby to 4.5 GHz and RAM to 1866 MHz to give you 7.8 on the CPU and 7.9 on RAM

It's going to be a while until I mess with overclocking it. I'll be adding another 7850 and then getting a new case and new heatsink.

Just make sure your PSU can handle those 7850's in crossfireX .

My 750W should be able to handle it no problem. 7850's only draw about 100 watts under load. I think a 650W is recommended for crossfire.

Nice build and it shows! I have the same CPU and it is quicker than a hiccup @ stock speeds....when you fiddle with it some, it is an absolute beast! Make sure you post pics of your rig when you get done with it.

I did another test to see if my ssd slowed down now on WEI (it didnt) but on the newer test my cpu scored higher same as a guy now.

Nope, that's the best we can do in Win 7 so far, even overclocked to 5GHz, still 7.8.

It's a plot by Intel/MS to increase CPU sales. They have a very strange sense of humor, even the most expensive CPU won't get a 7.9 unless you use N2 for a cooling system and use an extreme OC.

So just enjoy the highest CPU score anyone (normal) can get.
