Hey, people! Here's my recent score of 7.7 . OCed to 4.5 ghz i5 2500K.

What bugs me is that I got 7.9 with this RAM (Kingston HyperX 1600, 2 x 4) and my SSD on my earlier AMD system with FX6100 on M5A97 Deluxe!


That bugs me. My P8P67 Deluxe B3 is slower than the 970 chipset. I did have the RAM set to 1866 on the AMD, but what the hell? My SSD is still fine, as you can see on the ATTO bench.

Just funny.

Good scores. I have had WEI drop my RAM scores over time somewhat- prob on the edge and some Windows update... So it may be entirely consistent and not that far off - just rounding.

Hope your CPU won't bottleneck the GPUs. If you can find a core 2 quad 2.8 GHz or more for a cheap price, I'd consider getting it.

I hate Ati cards because they always have issues, and they don't supports Physx. I bought this HD 4870 X2 because it was at 80 Euros and it is a high-end card, and it is a major upgrade from a GTS 450...
Also Nvidia has better driver and games support (and have Physx, better 3D Vision, ...)

I'm searching for a cheap Socket 775/DDR2/Core 2 Quad motherboard since mine only supports Core 2 Duo 65nm.

That 7.03 GHz clock rate is only with 1 core active. It would score less than a 2.0 GHz 2630QM in WEI. However, with 7.0 GHz 6-core + HT Intel 3970X CPU, it will definitely get that 7.9 mark.
