Great numbers glc! I would think to get a 7.9 for the CPU, you'd have to either have an insane clock speed or some crazy array of Xeon processors. Most people recognize 7.8 as the highest you can go without some exotic setup. As for the memory, I think 1600MHz will get you a 7.8, and 1866MHz and above will get you a 7.9. I think memory symmetry, and frequency count more towards that score than capacity.

Edit: I think quite a few of us on here have a 7.9 memory score, although none of us have a 7.9 CPU score that I'm aware of.

Just upgraded my graphics card, only helped a little.
The cooler is a beast on this thing, bumped it to GPU 1232 MHz and Memory 1467 MHz, stock voltage, ran FurMark at 69°C.
The standard card is 1GHz GPU and memory, this one comes OC'ed at 1150/1300MHz, there's still some room left.

My new backup rig, built a week ago and now completed:



CPU overclocked from 1.86 GHz to 3.0 GHz @1.256 V (undervolt!)
RAM DDR2 running at 848 MHz @1.8 V
FSB 1716 MHz
HD 4870 X2 running at 800 MHz core / 1000 MHz memory

Both WEI graphics scores dropped to 7.8 from 7.9 with new AMD drivers, 13.2 Beta3.
Will run some benchmarks using them. If no significant¡cant improvements I'll roll back to 13.1 and wait for maturer betas.

Thanks, it was my father`s Vista machine, he passed away in 2010 so I went crazy on it. Just pulled the 9600 GT off my XFX and put it in here. Got the Core 2 off Ebay about a month ago for 25 bucks.
