Heres my scores with my SSD in it. Idk why, but my CPU was at 7.6 before i reinstalled windows. now its at 7.5.... whatever, still some good scores!

Possibly due to background programs running at the same time as testing wei. You could try using msconfig.exe and turning off as many non-Microsoft programs as possible, then rebooting, letting the computer sit idle for 5 mins, then retesting WEI.

already done. ive modified everything from start up, to registry, to task scheduler, to services.

I think too much emphasis is put on WEI in the first place. Sure it's a good way to measure some basic hardware strengths and weaknesses but I think doing day to day tasks and seeing if you're satisfied with your computer is what counts the most. My 2 cents.

Exactly! Although mostly good for bragging rights, WEI is (actually, was with Win 8.1) a useful tool for benchmarking performance. A change in the WEI score can indicate if new hardware or software was an improvement or not or if existing hardware or software is going south. However, as long as the computer does what you want, the WEI is just a figure.

I wonder how WEI determines it's scores exactly....more of a rhetorical question than a real one. I am going to search for the answer on Google and sure I will find it It probably does a preset type of calculations for each parameter specified and scores your PC, I wonder if it compares to other scores, given the hardware is an exact match

What do you mean Ralph? Run a Command prompt and type winsat formal it will come up with a massive amount of data and scores.

Looks like speed of CPU decryption of encryption, patterns, I/O (Input, output)speed, etc etc. That's what I pretty much expected. It's just very specific.

Yeah no problem Bob, I have inputted the data into the paulpicks21 analysis machine and it says you PC is OK, but you could do better, you may want to upgrade in the future but it is OK for now :roflmao:

No, an upgrade is in the eye of the beholder, it can be both brutal and pleasurable, sometimes an upgrade can be held off for many years if the beholder has a mind of iron, many crumble under the pressure, it can be rough, it can be awful, it can get one into a lot of trouble but at the end of the day shit happens
