Running for the gpu would require a lot of parameters, have a look here

Great score mate, I considered moving to G.Skill but from what I have read it doesn't go well with my motherboard.

Doug, check GSKill's page, they will guarantee their RAM to run at advertised speed if a board is on the QVL, they test it in house. Yours is on this list. Click the QVL tab and drill down to your board.

Thanks Gary, yes it's on the list, but other MSI users have reported issues with it. So then it goes to a battle of MSI saying it's the RAM, and GSKILL saying it's the MB when lots of users cant run it over 1866

I only find your board mentioned once on the G.Skill forum, but this guy used only 1600 RAM.

Chances are high it would work for me. I said that based off what I read on the MSI users forums. I remember I went off information there before which turned out wrong, so I will take it with a grain of salt

G Skill says that it must be an i7 CPU (for Ivy Bridge) to run 2400 MHz. The i7 memory controller can do it. But, very few i5's memory controller can run at 2400 MHz. I have an Asrock P67 board. The limit for that board is 2133, but it can run it at 2133. I have 2 Asus Z77 boards with 3770K's and they both will run 2400MHz. The Maximus and the Sabertooth. I've played around with ram on the Maximus and I am convinced, it doesn't care what ram you put in it.

I am familiar with the commands, thanks.. I was thinking of quite simply the "winsat d3d" option though, runs a few tests and gives a quick summary at the end. But either way, it was just a random thought.
