Hi just noticed you have same cpu as me but your score for it is lower than mine ,any ideas why that should be,I can understand some of the other scores being different ,but surely the cpu should be the same for all ???

Well i hve the same one and my score was a 6.0 on the wei with that drive..

Well your useing 32bit and i have 64 bit that may be the diffrence...
also i only have W7 installed and let windows set my partition size..
Plus i would say your system board will play a lot to your scores..

thats really nice for a laptop (IGP or a discreet Video Card?)

got a 3.6 and a 5.2 for my tablet/lappy...

12.5 tx2500 CTO (hd3200 IGP with extra 64mb...)...

loving every minute of touchscreen/pen+gaming+aero (emulators BTW) goodness

I wish my laptop was that good! I am at 2 because of my HDD!

Here is the detailed info... the GPU is intergrated. I wish it was a bit better. I can play some games, but I have to put them on low resolutions. I am trying to break into the PC gaming world, but lack of hardware and money defies that wish.

Hi guys im having nvidia 8600 gt ddr2 512mb, but my graphics score are only 4.9 and 5.3... is this score acceptable?? But in the previous posts i saw people having equivalent ati cards for this model are getting much better scores. Even some one havin mobile 965 chipset is getting score above 5!!. Please clarify!!

Some of us are brave/crazy enough to install the latest Nvidia drivers that were made for Vista x64 ... That made my graphics score go up to a 6.0

Through the life of windows 7 I think we will see some incredible new hardware and I believe that is why the WEI score goes up so high.. the best processors I have seen hasn't broke 7.2 (Intel I7) :huh:

I tried all the latest drivers includind the 181.22 whql but no change in the score!!. Can anyone having the same graphics card(8600gt ddr2 512mb) post their wei scores please?

Your welcome glad i could help..you still may not get to the 6.0 mark.
i have seen drives of the same not porform to the same standards at times..it is possible..

Dude i compared your values with mine, but for the surprising part my hdd shows higher points than yours in all the tests... BUt the final score is 5.9 asusual!. I will post the comparison as soon as possible!!. Have you disabled the write cache or what?

Hard drive scores for drives exhibiting what Microsoft calls 'problematic' have been capped under Beta 1 of Windows 7.

RAID 0 and SSD setups will gain good scores, but never near 7.9.

It could. There are a few variables that may differ from each setup:

1. Drive Firmware newer or older than the comparison drive.

2. SATA/AHCI controller not exactly the same as comparison controller.

3. Chipset drivers newer or older than the comparison ones.

4. Dilithium centrifugal time warp matrix misaligned.

Hey dude, i just verified the two files you sent!! In the disk assessment file it says ur hdd score is 5.9 which is similar to mine. But in the formal overall assessment file it says 6.0!! How is it possible? Can u post a screen shot of urs?
