I got a 8400 as well and its not overclocked and i got 6.5

You both have 6.5 and that's because it's not overclocked. The 8400 SHOULD be getting a 6.5 in it's stock 3.0GHz State. Since mine is at 3.6GHz and I get 6.9 then I can only assume someone who has the E8400 at 4.3GHz should be getting an even higher score than me. But instead he's getting a lower score.

Not sure what what you're talking about "really mattering".
If you're talking about my name and how you misread it, yes it irritates me that people so blindly say "12" when there's not even 1.

If you're talking about the WEI score of the E8400 then no it doesn't matter, but it's forum, not much does matter...

Your E6650 at 3.15GHz gets the same 6.5 score as the E8400 at stock 3.0Ghz...interesting how this WEI works.

I was just looking at some of your other post and saw a few diffrent scores id say yes i was confused a bit no big deal though and no harm directed at all..We are all here to share and thats the whole point..I am a Supermod at a few forums and would never want to make you feel upset

I had to disable cache writing on the OS disk to get that 6.0 score on the primary hdd. Otherwise it was a 3.0 score.

Oh, now I get it. Glad to provide a chuckle I2. Never did this before. Posting from the HDD is a bit easier/faster.

I had a 3.0 on the HDD score when I installed W7 on an old 160 G SATA1 drive (the empty one, since I formatted it.) I moved the install over to a 1TB SATA2 RAID 0 and it went up nicely. I'll try one more install on another 1TB RAID 0 when my drives arrive later this week, and see if that helps any.
The memory on Vista was showing a 5.5, now it's faster, must be a new scale.

These are real, 6.0 was my score due to low Hard drive performance, EVGA X58 mother board with I7 Extreme 965 overclocked to 3.589 Mghz, Patriot Mem 1600, but only running at 1033 due to Bios Limits awaiting new Bios to get out of Beta, and 5 Segate Sata 3, 7200 1TB drives in 2 striped raid configerations,due to Size Limits, with 3 SLI 260 Overclocked Video cards. And Bule ray Burner; (Tiger Direct loves me); I'm just a little disapointed I didn't score higher, I expected more bang for the buck.
