Ok removed 6 gb of mem and reran assesment now back where I was adding mem can cause you to loose performance in other arears,ex mem removed WEI.PNG

Try going to C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore and then going to the most recent formal assessment. It should be something like Formal.Assessment (Recent).WinSAT. Post the contents of that file here.

If you are getting better throughput and latency on the memory and disk but worse scores... then there is a problem with the benchmark.

Same goes for FPS in the graphics tests.

Well here it is for 7100 (exactly the same as 7077), which is interesting as the disk assessment is the same, I assumed there'd be a difference between the two as 7077 is on the first partition on the HDD and 7100 is on the third partition.

good luck with that, check my specs. i think i got a .1 increase.

The best clock i could get without artifacts popping up everywhere was 755gpu/1120mem/1820shader. but its just not worth the extra heat.

thats prob cos the 295 is a complete different card, different gpu and ddr3 chips. its like comparing a e2140 to a qx9770.

i dont think you would need to o.c those 295's too much anyway, far superior design compared to the 98gx2's, better gpu better memory chips, faster bus width. it mostly comes down to how much memory is on the bus, for example the big mistake they made with the gx2's was that they put 512mb gddr3 on a 128bit bus, combine the 2 you have 1024 on a 256 bus. thats what makes the gt/gtx series so great especially the single gpu units with 1gb on a fast bus width.

the 295 has 896mb gddr3 with 448bit bus width for each gpu. just multiply each one by 2 to combine the total output of 1792mb/896bit. the more memory on the single bus the better the performance, and with the combination of a high bus width (448bit) you hasve a formula to take over the world. i think they will have the same issues as the gx2's when they came out, issues with the 2gpus on the single card. when they do get it right it should be a day to remember.

oh and just one thing to remember....turn your fan speeds to 100% for all cards when your attempting the o.c. i run both mine at 100% all the time, plus i have stripped them down, repasted with as5 and left the metal cases off as they contain heat. if you do happen to repaste them you CANNOT use as5 on the memory chips, there is a gap between the chips and the heatsink so you have to reuse that wiered white mesh compound. it took me some trial and error when redoing my cards to get them right, but they idle under 55c and dont go above 80c when at full load at 740/1080/1780. i also have a 120mm fan hanging beside the two cards to push air inbetween the intake of the fans and another 120mm sucking out near the fins. it all helps. if i am stress testing i downclock the cards as low as they will go and set the fans to about 40% and its pretty much silent so i can let it run overnight without sounding like a jet plane warming up. :p

I think your WEI rating goes down once you reach your bottlenecks. Possibly your GPU is too good for your CPU (or maybe it's because I don't like i7 :))

RC1 = releas candidate 1, microsoft thinks it has a product ready to be released, this is there test to see if they can find any flaws before release if they do there could be an RC2, if not this could be close to the finished product, microsoft tests before releasing the RC's but there is no way they could test on the varity of mechines that the general public has, or test using the viraty of skills that they will find in the public theater. anything minor they can tweek, but this gives them another opertunity to catch any major flaws, with this being an RC it is clear they dont expect one, but thats why they test.
