Ok I have win 7 on 2 computers here at home. One has x64 and the other x32. Now when I want to use them on my network i can see public files and open them easily. When I share a file on another drive or even the whole drive itself, it always says it cant do it. I have tried all three options with the networking and with every option open to sharing, no password yadayada, i have to log in to both boxes and have even dropped the windows firewa and still cant share a file or even a drive. What gives?

Fixed

It was really simple, something you would think that the automated homegroup would have got right, but anyway my fix was to set a group policy for "Everyone" in association with the particular folder or drive outside of the default 'Homegroup '
