Simplex November 2023 Update fails to download from many sites?

I have tried to download Simplex Update 2023/11 from many sites.
All have failed after appearing to complete the download THEN asking if I trust the download "as it is not frequently" downloaded.
I'm a klutz however I do trust Simplex's Updates but there is no option to indicate I do trust it.
Any help would be appreciated.

The MajorGeeks site is my preferred second option.

How do I indicate I TRUST the Download?

Went there and registered.
That is a lot of stuff.
I searched on Simplex.
Could you PLEASE help me by telling me what you enter as your Search Argument?

I agree with you.
I tried it and received the same results.
I'm confounded.
It should be straight forward it's not, it's a dilemma.
I get the Message about Continuing or Closing.
no matter how long I wait, 15 or 30 minutes, it's always Downloading.

Have you tried the Major Geeks link I gave in Post #2? Major Geeks has been around since 2001 and has always been a reliable source for downloads.

Given that you are having problems from multiple download locations, it seems that the problem comes from your browser or something else in your computer that's blocking it. A "security" plugin in the browser could cause problems, and if your system is infected with an antivirus it could also block downloads it doesn't likes.
My next suggestion would be that you try with a different, clean browser and uninstall any antivirus you may have.

Perhaps MS is doing this to defeat Simplex providing this Service?

That's why you shouldn't trust antiviruses

There is a "keep anyway" link in there, and also the "report this app as safe" option seem to be appropriate choices. Just dismiss the big and notorious delete button and you're good to go, as long as they work as labeled.

I doubt Microsoft would do that in purpuse (but it could be of course), most likely it's just another occurrence os a false positive from an antivirus. Since they control the OS, they can control what installs there, just add a few digital signatures and Simplix disappears. Ultimately, Simplix doesn't really hurts Microsoft or Windows in any way, its existence even helps distribute updates without relying on MS servers (as long as you can tolerate the risk of someone tampering with them).

Agree with you to use the Simplix home site for monthly download. I suggested that to interested people over 12 months ago, for the same reasons you wrote. Simplix home site also offers a Torrent (Magnet) download link to really reduce download time for these large files. (I'm using QBit as the Torrens downloader, although there are many others of course).

Still using Simplix on my sole remaining legacy Win7 PC, at least until Firefox drops Win7.

My AV is Bitdefender (free) and while it can and does go nuts occasionally, it's never panicked at Simplix downloads.

Thank you AGAIN!

I do not have Foxfire but do have IE-11 besides Edge.
I tried IE-11 and it worked.
I'm now running the current MS MSRT.
So far, it's been running two hours and found two infected files, but I believe MSRT as much as I believe Joe Biden.
Hopefully, if it really found and repaired/remover the offending files, I'll be happy.

It just ended.
As always, it denies finding anything after reporting finding at least two infections.
MSERT is one of very few "reasons to move to another Operating System", I have.
Hopefully, it actually found the two it had reported and removed them.
If not, it's useless but I'll never really have confidence that it did anything other than an Accelerating Green Bar displaying for +- over 4 hours.

Now, I'll get back to using my favorite MS Operating System, Windows-7 Pro.

Since using IE-11 vs MS Edge allowed the Simplex Updates to be downloaded should I remove it and reinstall it?

Is there a way to see / list the Viruses that "enhance" MS Edge and delete them one by one vs removing Edge and all?
