live mesh is a way of keeping files in sync between two computers (or more). for example, let's say you had a laptop and a desktop - every file you save on the laptop to mesh, automagically appears on your desktop too. there's also a feature that lets you connect to your meshed pc from anywhere on the internet, allowing you to access files, run programs etc.

i believe you can set it up like that by changing your default save locations to skydrive folders. although i would prefer to keep a local copy too.

this is a new version of skydrive coming out soon, with a few more features.

So I can just drag my local photo folders onto the page and zoom up they go to....somewhere?

That is already available in SkyDrive but not Mesh.
Sorry just checked. You cant drag and drop a folder but you can drag and drop files.

Sorry, SkyDrive can't upload folders. Please upload the files that are contained in the folder instead.

I use Google for everything except mail (Yahoo) but am in the process of moving EVERYTHING to Microsoft. very impressed with what they are doing.

People not being able to get into their accounts. Lots of spam. It may have improved since then however it was a year or two ago.
