The only thing that I understand about your question is that your mouse is not functioning properly. You do not say if this is a consistent problem, or if it occurs in spasms? Nor do you say what mouse or driver that you are using or how it is connected? The direct answer to your question is that as far as I know, there is no diagnostic tool for the purpose that you want. It is a matter of trial and error.

EDIT: It might help if you would fill out your System Specs (lower left corner of your post, then use the update link in the lower left corner of the specs window).

Thanks for fast reply. I'm sorry I wasn't enough specific. I'll fix it up. My mouse & keyboard is wireless Logitech combo EX 110. Never have problems as such before in win XPro SP3. The unresponsivnes is not constant. Just time to time. That's why I was asking if there is an option to monitor momentary which appy is active/running to eliminate what could possibly couse that behavour. My win is Enterprise x64. Hope that's enough details? TIA

Thanks for reply. Batteries are fresh.....Re Q#2... for long time I skiped install ANY drivers or software provided for ANY wireless mouse/keyboard since I hate obtrusive staff which these "installation CD's" obviously are. I'm always good with any windows legacy "Plug $ Play" drivers. Always works good for me. Is Windows 7 so precious it needs these drivers?

I haven't checked the keyboard/mouse out, but I shall assume that at least the mouse connects via USB. Be sure that the port to which it is connected is 2.0, not 1.1. I don't know that it will help, but I did read where that Logitech support told one member to disable legacy USB in the BIOS, but when I experimented with that, it didn't seem to make any difference.

I have also found that the placement of the receiver can be very important. Even though the receiver may be well in the published range, moving it just slightly sometimes makes quite a difference.

Do you have access to a Logitech website at all? That is the best place to find current drivers compatible with Windows Seven.

This is likely the problem. It is my understanding that all USB-related inputs are handled by the CPU. Conversely, PS2 is handled at the interrupt-level of the CPU.
