I conect to the internet with a wirless usb adapter ( Linksys USB54G something or another- ver 3.0) The other day while i was just typing an email not doing anything on the web i lost my connection all the sudden then it wouldnt reconnect at all until i re-booted. Once i got connected again everything was really slow, well slower than it was before,, again it lost the connection so i figured maybe the drivers got corupt or something, I went to the linksys website and D/L the newest drivers for my adapter and i uninstalled everything then rebooted and reinstalled the drivers again now for the most part i stay connected however every now and then it drops the connection again as well as its still very slow!!
Im only 15 ft from the router so i have a good connection to it, I went through all my settings on the router and looked for any spyware or new programs or anything that maybe hogging my connection up but all is clean!! anyone know of a way to tweak this USB adapter to be faster? maybe something else i dont know but i know that my speed tests are now 10% slower than before all this happend. ISP maybe??
IDEAS??
