Hello! First of all, idk where to post this because I have no idea what this may be connected to so sorry in advance.
So my problem is that a couple days ago I was drawing on my drawing monitor, everything worked nice and smooth, then I took a break to play a game and watch some vids, and when I resumed drawing, the lines started to come out jagged (again, worked perfectly before, it's not default jitter some tablets have). Example
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Brown lines are done on my drawing monitor. Deinstalled the drivers, installed old tablet - same thing happening (black lines). Purple ones are from sensitivity check of the driver app, so it's not just the program being buggy either. Sensitivity works for both tablets. As far as I can tell, mouse kind of behaves the same way (hard to tell but lines still should look smooth instead of looking like 8bit art piece). The cursor should normally smoothly follow the pen, instead it kind of jumps or snaps to a new position.
This is happening in both of my windows accounts. I didn't install anything new recently, malware bytes doesn't detect anything. I booted the system in "diagnostic startup" to see if maybe something is interferring, still the same thing. Disconnected the touchpad and mouse and tried the pen and mouse in different usb ports (I have 2 separate pairs with different drivers) still behaves the same.
If anyone knows of ANY things that may affect the cursor\input\whatever please lay them on me..
PS It's impossible to work like this, it's been 2 days and all I find in google are tablet driver problems, jitter tests and "did you try to not touch the touchpad when you type" articles... Pls help:(

Hello CupOfRedTea

What is not particular obvious to me is if this issue occurs i) in any specific Software application, or ii) in windows desktop generally?

If the issue is only occurring in a particular software program, then I'd search that program for any kind of 'snap to grid' option. You might find that is what is causing the clunky response.
If the issue is happening on the windows desktop in general, then I think that you have tried most things that I myself would have considered. If it is a sensitivity problem, then recalibrate or reset the calibration in windows pen and touch. If it is a device driver problem, then disable and reenable the device driver, or reinstall the device driver.

The other place that might be worth a look is in Start Menu > Mouse > Mouse Properties > Pointer Options and check the Enhance pointer precision checkbox, or adjust the pointer speed.

If all else has failed, and it still looks like a device driver problem, then you might like to do a System Restore, and restore the computer to an earlier time, before the two or three days ago, before the problem happened.

Hope that helps.

Hi! Ye, like I said, it's not just the program, because this happens in the driver's test app and paint and other places, sensitivity works, it's not the driver, because I doubt two drivers for two different tablets from 2 different manufacturers would have the same bug, besides mouse behaves in the same manner, when drawing it leave a zigzag instead of wiggly line.
Pointer precision was always off back when it worked, and I tried cheking it and changing mouse sensitivity, no effect.
Also I don't have restore points for some reason even though I have a special virtual drive for it and enough free space on it. I also reinstalled mouse, usb and even graphic card drivers and it still didn't fix the problem..
I have a "restore" file on my restoration drive dated april this year but idk how to access it? Since restore tool doesn't see any restoration points..

Since you have a HP computer, you might find that the computer has its own recovery partition - if that is what you mean.

The recovery partition is usually "hidden" and can only be accessed by re-booting the computer. When you Start the computer, you Press F11 repeatedly, before the windows logo starts , and that accesses the recovery options - if they have been installed by HP.
