Some [desktop] icons will not re-size?

Recently, I installed a new monitor to my laptop and was fiddling around with the new monitor's icon sizes. It seemed fine initially, but once I decided to disconnect and revert back to my laptop's monitor, the icon's sizes were off. Some were small, whilst others were large. The smaller ones did not change with re-sizing (manual nor using CTRL + scroll).

Furthermore, restarting the computer made further changes. A couple of the icons that were originally large became small, but none grew.

Is there anything I can do? There must be a way to reset, or something similar.

A question:

Were you able to resize all of the icons with the new monitor?

It may be that the icons that won't change don't have all sizes of icon artwork built into their .exe or .dll file. It happens. But that would only be true if you couldn't resize them one the new monitor.

I couldn't say. I removed the new monitor before I noticed any issues, so supposedly it only affects the laptop's monitor. Either or, this only arose once I re-sized the icons on the separate monitor. The icons were sized normally beforehand, and most immediately after disconnection. Once the laptop had been restarted, I noticed that one icon (e.g. 'Dino Run DX') had become smaller [than before the reboot]. If I recall correctly, 'Never Alone' reverted appropriately.

UPDATE

I did manage to retrieve the appropriately sized icons for 'The Deer God', 'LIMBO', 'Viridi' and 'Kingdom' by re-uploading the image and applying it to the corresponding shortcut (visible on the desktop). However, although the exact same method was used, I was unable to re-size 'Mitos.is' and 'Dino Run DX'.
