You did not give us much to go on re: the equipment involved...
...so I'll just offer this: Add or turn on NAT.

If you want specific info, then tell us the DSL modem's manufacturer and model number. If you see something that mentions something like hardware version - then please tell us that too. Also let us know if you have additional equipment between your computer and the DSL modem (e.g. router/wireless access point combo).
