I've had my PC for 3 years now and the most stable it has ever gotten was 1 BSOD a month and the worst being 20 times a day after a fresh format... I've checked the RAM out extensively, I've tested the GPU and the HDD in different computers and they were fine, I downloaded the latest drivers as they became available, and still it crapped, yet I refuse to admit defeat.
The BSOD message generally has something to do with "IRQL not less than or equal" or "Page Fault in Non-Paged area" or "attempted to write to read-only memory" but if you can think of a message I've probably had it.
Most of these are probably to do with the RAM but I'm semi-convinced that there's nothing wrong with it, it's just the last domino to topple over and ruin my minute/hour.
