Rendering Takes a Long Time In Sony Vegas....

One of my friends are having issues with rendering videos in Sony Vegas . He says it's taking longer then usual and it also crashes as well , here are his system specs. Any solution to this problem.

I use Vegas Pro 12, 64-bit. I would recommend your friend to go to the Vegas forum (Sony Creative Software - Forums - Vegas Pro - Video) & join. Then post specifics about his PC including which version of Vegas & how he has his preferences setup, hardware like GPU type & what he's trying to render & go from there. There are lots of variables that can cause this.

He's able to render, but says it's too slow. His PC seems better than mine too but you'd agree that project settings, rendering codec, 8bit or 32bit floating, up rez or down Rez - all of which are not defined in the post - effect render speeds. Vegas 12 is GPU dependent for max speeds. The post doesn't mention which version of Vegas. It's also a fact that Vegas is optimized with Intel CPUs in mind. His system is AMD, and as I learned the hard way, don't perform as we'll render wise as Intel.
