HI. Its my first post and sorry my bad english. So cut to the chase - ive installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and what ive noticed was - high cpu drain from hardware interrupts.
I have two sound cards- first is Realtek HD which is integrated with motherboard. Second is SB Audigy.
Ive noticed some trick to clear the cpu drain from hardware interrupts to a normal size (close to 0%). The trick was to enter sleep mode and come back from it. But the problem was- my system was running quick and easy but without any sound ! Thats a common problem with vista and windows 7 that ive heard of.
So i took out the sb audigy and there is some small improvement. Cpu doesnt get that much load from interrupts (around 10 -20% less). I use now only Realtek HD and now the sleep mode option doesnt work because the interrupts drain stays aswell with the sound.
What to do ? Drivers as windows 7 says are - up to date. I guess that problem was even before installing w7, but then because of xp which works faster on my machine could have been unnoticed by me.
