Sound from computer and from monitor help!

Hello everyone,

I am wondering how I can get sound from my computer and from my monitor while attached to HDMI.

Currently, I have my speakers connected to my computer. But I also have my PS3 connected to my monitor as well. How can I get sound to play from my monitor when I am using my PS3 (of course I will use either PS3 or PC, not both at the same time).

I just don't want to keep unplugging my speaker cord and inserting into my monitor..too annoying and time consuming.

You can only have one default audio playback device, either "Speakers" (PC audio) or HDMI, but not both at the same time. On most PC's when an HDMI cable is connected to the PC it will automatically switch the sound to HDMI. It can be manually changed in the Sound Panel/Playback section.
