So my sound was working just fine on Windows 7 until I decided to have a video chat with my friend over Live Messenger. I was simultaneously listening to music and video chatting at one point until I decided to pause my iTunes. Then when we were done chatting I went back to play iTunes and now the music wont even begin to play. I cannot hear any audio on Youtube or anything either and the video actually stops playing after a couple seconds on youtube too.

I have a Dell XPS 1530 if that helps any. Sigmatel Audio is what I believe runs my audio.

EDIT - Nevermind... I restarted my computer and all is well again. I guess I freaked out and should have waited to post this :(

This is happening to me and it will happen again. It keeps on happening to me and its annoying. After a while it just turns off. Idk whats the problem and as of now my sound is off. Ill reboot to see if that helps.

Alright, it turned out Microsoft installed the wrong drivers for my speakers and audio card. I installed the right one and it worked even before my restart.
