Solved Sporadic BSODs playing Games. No Definitive Errors.

- What is the age of system (hardware)? - Various parts. Mostly I revamped everything a year ago. However I did take out my old monitor 3 weeks ago and have been getting BSODs on the temporary monitor and my new one.
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) - 4 months ago, I reinstalled everything.

Ever since I took out my old monitor to replace it with my new one, I have been getting many BSODs with various errors, none pointing to any in particular and all happening when I play games of any kind. I can play a Triple A title and crash or I can play a flash game I crash. The funny thing is, whenever I play a Java game my screen says out of range and I get the sound of a BSOD in the background.

Would someone please be able to tell me what could be happening?

P.S. I have enclosed the documents that could help with this post. I'm going to include some information I have at the bottom that may be helpful.

• Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.
  
  In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ws-7-a.html?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance.
  
  
• We do not recommend automated driver update software. It often finds drivers for devices similar to but not exactly the same as the hardware actually on the system. This can lead to conflicts and blue screen crashes. If you need help finding driver updates for a certain device, please start a thread in Drivers - Windows 7 Forums instead of using software. Driver updates are not always necessary and some updates can actually decrease system stability rather than increase it, so it is usually better not to update unless a device or its driver is causing problems with the system. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  
  
• I recommend against 3rd party defrag tools. Windows has some nice command line flags for the defrag command that will accomplish the same tasks as 3rd party programs. The -b and -w flags will defrag boot files and the boot registry items as well as compact the data to the center of the disk for faster access.

  The first command optimizes boot performance for the Windows drive by defragmenting boot files and boot registry items.
  
  The second command includes all drives on the system through the -c command and optimizes the drives by compacting the data to the center of the disk. Verbose output through the -v option is optional to provide the user with more information about the defrag tasks. It is difficult to find patterns with only one .dmp file. I am guessing one of the problematic programs listed above deleted others that might have helped with the analysis.

Your one .dmp file is corrupted and blames the probable cause as memory_corruption. This could mean hard disk corruption, bad sectors, a failing hard disk, Windows files or registry corruption, viruses, or memory problems.

• If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
  
  
• Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors checked for all SSDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/96938-check-disk-chkdsk-read-event-viewer-log.html (you may need to search for wininit instead of chkdsk).
  For any drives that do not give the message:
  Windows has checked the file system and found no problems
  run disk check again as above. In other words, if it says:
  Windows has made corrections to the file system
  after running the disk check, run the disk check again.
  
  
• Run the short and long tests with SeaTools for HDDs.

• If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
  • SSD firmware
  • BIOS Version
  • Chipset Drivers
  • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, uninstall it in device manager and see if the system performs better.
  
  
• Check Windows for corruption. Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations. Use OPTION THREE of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to provide us with the sfcdetails.txt file if errors occur.
  
  
• Download and install Malwarebytes, update it, do not start the free trial, and then run a full scan. Also run a full scan with your antivirus software installed on your system. If you do not have antivirus software installed, see the http://www.sevenforums.com/system-s...-system-security-combination.html#post1732627 for better security steps and scanning tools. Make sure to update the security software before running the full scan.
  
  
• Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).

  Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. :warn:WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!
  
  For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
  1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
  2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
  4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
  Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

I've had a couple more crashes, I've enclosed more DMP files below. I've already run the Short Test for Seagate, it came back positive, nothing wrong. Also, just so you know, I had only installed the Third Party Software after all of these bluescreens started. I have also never overclocked any hardware. I recently ran a disk check that came back with absolutely nothing wrong. I tested my computer with MalwareBytes and it said there was nothing wrong, although I currently have ESET Smart Security installed.

EDIT : Just finished the scans. Some errors that couldn't be fixed. I've uploaded the file for that as well.

EDIT2 : Just Wanted to say that I ran nearly every test available in SeaTools. Everything passed.

I am glad to see you do not use that software on a regular basis. I have seen it damage the operating system to the point that the only way to fix things was a clean install of Windows 7.

Let's see if we can track down your crashes. You do have a corrupted file: csc.sys, the Windows Client Side Caching Driver. You will need to replace it from the Windows DVD using OPTION THREE and the tip within that OPTION from http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html since that is an important memory based driver. That could explain the memory_corruption crashes I am seeing. The file appears to come with Windows 7 SP1.

Does your installation media install Windows 7 SP1? Download and run the MGADiag tool. Then click Continue, then click Copy, and then paste the information in your next post.

I'm not accusing you of anything, but I need to be certain you have purchased your copy and you haven't done anything that violates the EULA.

I'm certain I didn't crack it. My father took the CDs when he reinstalls everything, from the Black Box that says Windows 7 Ultimate on it. I've just googled it too, yes it does seem that the ending digits/letters are correspondent with people who have cracked it, but I'm certain neither me or my father have ever done that. I know for sure he purchased a Windows 7 Ultimate.

Something doesn't tally here : in your first post you said this was a retail version of Windows, but the MGADIAG report clearly indicates an OEM version of Windows.

Install the update as posted in post #8, then re-run the MGADIAG tool and post a new copy of the report. We can then diagnose further.

To summarise all the above responses.....

1) The OP has a retail motherboard
2) The Key in use is an OEM_SLP Key (from an HP machine)
3) The Key is apparently activated - which is impossible unless the installation has a hacker's Loader tool installed.
4) The WAT Update (which would expose a Loader tool) is not installed.

The installation is not genuine.
The installation is compromised by the presence of the Loader.

Recommendation:
Reformat and reinstall with legitimate media and Key

Scarlight - what Noel means is that you are using a non-genuine licence of Windows 7.

The only way you will get further help here is too purchase a genuine licence key, then format and re-install Windows 7 from scratch.

O.K., solved it, it was my Motherboard all along, things kept failing and when I replaced them it pointed to other things, so I tried getting a new motherboard, voila. It works.

Also I reinstalled Windows 7 with a newly purchased 64 Bit OS. Thank you all very much for trying to help.
