SSD and MB. Compatibility?

I have this motherboard and planned to order this SSD.

If so, would it be worth upgrading later to a motherboard with sata III sockets or would the gains (if any) be worth the expense of a new motherboard? Thanks!

After reading the post above I assume the SSD should work plugged into a sata II socket on my motherboard. If there's much of a performance gain with a sata III motherboard, I'll get one later when funds allow.

Yes SATAIII is backwards compatible to SATAII or SATA. There is no noticeable difference in SATA III or SATA II though, save your money to buy a bigger SSD. I would recommend a Samsung 830 series SSD though.
