I have build 7100. When I try to access online play, I sign into my gamespy account and then it crashes. I can play campaign, so I'm thinking it might be the firewall when it tries to access the internet. But it happens even when I run it as administrator and I didn't download any extra firewall or security.

Are you guys overclocking? I had to take my speeds down a notch to get no crashes. (Those same exact speeds/voltage settings were working great in Vista though)

I suggest you actually do a thread search. There are already 2 threads regarding Battlefront 2.

I have found the solution

The problem isn't the games compatibility with windows 7. It is the sound system that windows 7 uses (Realtek) that causes the game to crash. All you need do to make Battlefront 2 work are these 3 simple steps:

1. Right click on the sound icon in the bottom right corner of the screen

2. Click on recording devices.

3. Enable stereo mix

After I did this my game worked perfectly, I didn't even need to use compatibility mode!!!
