When I activate the launcher, I get a message saying the screen settings has been changed for compatibility reasons, but the game doesn't launch. The process exists, but no game.

Sometimes, when I activate the launcher, the screen changes resolution and the colors get messed up. When this happens I have to go into task manager and close the Starcraft process.

I tried reinstalling it already.

I even installed iccup's starcraft, and it too didn't work.

EDIT: I think the problem is compatibility mode. When I changed the compatibility for Warcraft III to Windows XP, it did not launch

I have build 7100

Mine works, but that is thanks to what I went through with Vista.
Install it onto XP Remember the location of the file it does help if you upgrade.
Install the latest patch.
Move the CD file to where the patch tells you.
Either upgrade or transfer the files over.

This will have it work on any OS.
