So I have a dell computer and I reinstalled windows 7 and had to download the synaptics touchpad driver to disable the touchpad. Trouble is it won't launch. I downloaded .net framework 4.5 because it was giving me a message to install .net framework 4.0 or higher to launch the touchpad driver application. I did and now when I click on it the synaptics touchpad application it won't launch and doesn't give any messages. I can see it in taskmgr but it just won't appear so I can disable the touchpad.
I know this is an annoying problem but any suggestions?
