actually when i was trying to fit the image it used to stretch vertically which looked bad
can you point me to a good tutorial to make the image like you did??

And when resizing image to fix proprely in the taskbar, use this settings : Maximun width 54 pixels and maximum height 40 pixels. But while resizing, dont dont stretch images, keep the aspect ratio intact .

Here is one , but you may easily follow Derek,s advise
