I'd like to keep my startup list to only things I need.

Here's my list from CCC, is there anything not necessary?

HKCU:Run ISUSPM Startup c:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\UPDATE~1\isuspm.exe -startup

HKLM:Run NUSB3MON "C:\Program Files (x86)\NEC Electronics\USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver\Application\nusb3mon.exe"

HKLM:Run IAStorIcon C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology\IAStorIcon.exe

HKLM:Run JMB36X IDE Setup C:\Windows\RaidTool\xInsIDE.exe

HKLM:Run ISUSScheduler "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\issch.exe" -start

HKLM:Run Adobe Reader Speed Launcher "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe"

HKLM:Run Adobe ARM "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"

HKLM:Run StartCCC "C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLIStart.exe" MSRun

HKLM:Run MSC "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\msseces.exe" -hide -runkey

HKLM:Run IntelliPoint "c:\Program Files\Microsoft IntelliPoint\ipoint.exe"

HKLM:Run itype "c:\Program Files\Microsoft IntelliType Pro\itype.exe"

Depends... even though I don't really see a problem with your system spec's.. if you want to run as clean as possible... take out your automatic updaters like
isuspm.exe
prerun.exe
issch.exe
AdobeARM.exe"
ipoint (if you don't change your configuration)
itype.exe" (same)

+ I'd have to check but I expect CLIStart.exe" MSRun to just be the finetuner and not needed for stable running

Thanks, I did have a computer problem and put everything back, the startup times really increased. This windows 7 is a never ending task it seems with so many drivers to keep an eye on and other areas that need tweaking.

Do you mean you got a problem when removing the ones I quoted from start-up? Or did you previously have one after which you put all the above on again? I hope the latter...

You can get MS Autoruns by downloading the zip file and opening it. Then click on Autoruns which opens to show you everything on your C drive, including all the start up items. You can uncheck all the stuff you don't want to load on start up, and re-enable them if you wish.

No, this was a few days ago I had some problems, went in msconfig and selected normal startup, before that I had selective startup which got me into trouble.
