Startup repair after "Windows is Loading Files".Cant start safe mode

This is my first time being on these forums. If this is the wrong place to post about this, I apologize in advance.
Background on how this all started
vvvvvv
I have a hp pavilion dm4 laptop with windows 7 home premium OS. This laptop is about a year and 2 months old. Warranty has expired. 2 months ago, my laptop started making this loud fan noise. I checked the CPU's temperature through software and it was at 78 F (which i thought was normla). I decided to sit my laptop higher by stacking books underneath it. I dropped the laptop on accident because I was sweaty and nervous. The fan noise stopped. That caught my attention. Every time the fan became loud, my FPS for the games I was playing lowered. That made me mad and frustrated. I remembered once the laptop was tapped a little, the fan would stop and my performance would go back to normal. The tap eventually progressed into a light smack then to a hard smack. I smacked my laptop everytime this happened because of frustration (Im 15 and i do dumb things a lot). Last week, the fan just continued and would never stop. I didnt stop smacking it either.
Situation
vvv
So today, I tried to smack the laptop as little as i could and then my laptop froze. It stayed frozen for about 1 minute. Then I restarted my laptop. When it was rebooting, I saw a screen I have never encountered before; "Windows is Loading Files Screen". I waited patiently and the fan of my laptop continued to be loud. Then, for about a second and a half, i see the Windows is starting screen but there is no windows logo. Then the screen turns gray and "Startup repair" thing comes on. I waited an hour and I got frustrated and turned off the laptop by holding the power button. I restarted and Same thing happens with the loading files and startup repair.

This is what happens when I start my laptop
1.Windows is Loading Files happens
2. I see the windows is loading (without windows logo) for about 2 sec
3. Startup repair happens

I press cancel right away on startup repair to see if it would do anything. Nothing happens. The startup repair window is there and I cant do anything.
A command prompt window is on the bottom left of the screen, but I cant type anything in there.

I cant boot to safemode, and I have a lot of data that isnt backed up or saved somewhere else. I dont want to loose this data.

What must I do?
What is the safest way to get back on to the desktop and get back to my normal activities?
Help.

I will try to look at this thread as much as i can refreshing it and all.

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.
It sound like the first problem is overheating. This can cause many more problems all by itself.
If it was my laptop I would take it apart and clean completely. I would also check the operation of the fan. (If in doubt replace the fan).
If you don't feel comfortable taking the laptop apart and cleaning I would take it to a shop.
You must not use the laptop until the cooling problem is solved.
