startup repair won't work

Switched laptop on and it keeps saying startup
repair tried this but nothing happens just
blank screen. Tried safe mode this does not
work either.. Tried acer erecovery management
this just says please wait a moment after waiting
6 hours gave up. Laptop is 6 months old and
didn't come with any discs..
