Status 0xc000000f I'm stuck and don't know anything about computers!!!

Hey I have a Gateway ZX6961 Windows 7 Prem OA Acer. It's a touch screen, and the guy at best buy sold me the computer fully loaded so I was given no discs. Everytime I turn it on it comes up that I need installation and backup or restore discs or whatever. I have no discs. It says status 0xc000000f. I have no idea what to do. The geek squad told me my hard drive failed, but the computer says it may be a hardware problem or a software change may be the problem. Please help I have no idea what I'm doing and I know absolutely nothing about computers. Please.
