Steelseries Siberia V2 (non usb) help please?

Im hoping this is dead easy...


Im using the headset for when im on skype, i used to have a corsair headset and when i skyped, i was able to talk to my friends + have spotify playing music through the headset and only i could hear it... with the new Steelseries one, if i have spotify on, the people i speak to can here the music as well

Im just wondering how i fix this, the Corsair headset used a USB connection, whereas this steelseries one is using headphone/mic jacks... any help please its driving me insane

I don't know if this headset has that capability, but your best bet is to contact support.

A USB headset basically has its own sound card built into the headset and doesn't use the PC's sound card. With an analog headset that plugs into the headset (and mic) jacks you are using the PC's sound card.
