Solved stop 0x00000f4 and Live Kernal Event (BCcode 116) while gaming

Oh dear, that looks like a lot of hassle, especially since I only have a USB...

The PSU should be arriving tomorrow. If it doesn't fix my issues, I'll try and run Seatools then.

So my PSU arrived today. Played Lord of the Fallen (which was always the worst for blue screens) for a little while and no problems so far. I don't want to mark as solved just yet until I play for a bit longer and try out other games. But so far so good!

One thing I'm still a bit concerned about is there's pretty loud hissing coming from the computer whenever I play a game. It was happening before, and I'm fairly sure it's not a fan. Is this normal for my GPU?

Hissing? No it isn't normal unless it could be the fan. Take the side of the case off and search for where it is coming from.

So I opened up the case and had a look where it's coming from. It's coming from the GPU like I suspected. It's definitely not the fans, though, since you can hear it before they kick in.

Do you really think it could be fatal? I've lowered the clock speed (I'm fairly sure it was factory overclocked, anyway), and that's quietened it quite a bit. Lowering the framerate helps, too. So it could just be the sound of it working too hard.

Anyway, I haven't had any BSOD since installing the new PSU, and I reckon I've taken up enough of your time, so I'm going to consider this solved. Thanks for all your help.

Ok, but you shouldn't have to lower the clock and framerate for it to work. I would see about an RMA. It is supposed to work at stock. The card is strong enough to play any game out on high settings.

Oh, no, it works perfectly. I've been running games like Lords of the Fallen and Watch Dogs on highest settings at high frame rates. There are no issues with performance. The only thing I'm concerned with is the noise it makes. When I was talking about lowering clock speeds and framerates it was only to reduce the noise. But if it's going to be nothing more than mild nuisance I can live with it. :)

The only thing that would concern me is if it is an unnatural noise, it means something is not working right. It could be just a bad fan bearing. But whatever it is, it will only get worse over time, until it just quits.
