Hi guys,

This is gonna be a long story, so sorry in advance. I bought 2 Alienware Aurora R4 PC's on sale 2nd hand. They were bought but never used by a company I have connections to, so it's not the newest one, but 2-3 years ago. I also got a spare R4 from them, because that one doesn't work so I used it for spare parts. I have 3 R4 in total and 2 of them work. I sold one to my friend and he has been using it for over a year now, but he started to get a lot of blue screens lately. With different error codes.

These are the codes he is getting:
STOP 50/0A/D1/3B/FC/1A (kk pc - Album on Imgur)

Things I've tried:
Swapping video card and RAM with the spare R4 (What are the chances all components are faulty)
Used Advanced Systemcare to clean it (new to this program)

A friends is saying the motherboard should be faulty because the errors are all over the place. Can you guys help me and see if this is the case, maybe have me run tests to see if it's faulty.

Hi Laith,

Thank you for the quick response. He needs his PC for work so I told him to update his network drivers from the alienware site and I guided him in flashing his BIOS. It was on a very old version (A03) and we are currently at A11. He will do the MEM test tonight. I will keep you poasted, and thanks again man. Appreciate the help.

Oh btw, I see that you couldn't read the first 2 BSOD he got from the ZIP. It was 50 and 0A. Can you maybe tell what those were about?

Hmmm there are new codes added to his collection. 1E and C2. After the C2 error his PC behaved very strange and kept restarting continuously. He pulled the plug and after 10 min he could start his PC again. Told him to make a new ZIP file.

After flashing his BIOS in windows 7 it required a restart and all his fans were in full speed and his monitor was black. I forced a restart after ~30min. I know this isn't recommended and you can brick a motherboard, but I did the same thing with my own PC. Mine kept making noise for an hour or so and it worked out fine after changing a few settings in BIOS. Can that be the problem causing the new BSOD. Maybe I didn't flash his BIOS correctly? Sorry for making the problem worse.

They weren't dumped, i'm sorry. 0xA's are oftenly related to overheating. 0x50's are often related to failing RAM.

EDIT: Reflash the BIOS if you can,

Hi he did the memtest and he ran it for 16 hours lol and no errors. Think I'll just test it using the DEll program (F12 during startup) and if it gives no errors I'm gonna format his SSD and and try reinstalling windows 7 or maybe even upgrade to win 10. Does this sound like a plan.

Have you run the test?
Code:
BugCheck D1, {8d38000, 2, 1, fffff88004a7e454}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys

This one blames it on the graphics driver.

Run Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU)
Make sure you tick the Uninstall C:/AMD and C:/NIVIDA folders while you are in DDU when you are done running DDU install your graphics driver again. This is the guide for DDU: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/367109-display-driver-uninstaller-how-use.html

I ran the test and it gave me no errors. Have you heard about a program called ioBit driver booster. It says I have 62 outdated system drivers. Should I update them or just leave it alone? Stumbled on this program while cleaning registry using advanced systemcare 9.

ok I had another BSOD after starating my PC. Can you have a look at it. Just wanna be sure it's not hardware related before reinstalling. Only thing I can remember changing is that I got a new mouse. Can it be that? I have gotten a Razer naga Hex mouse and my friend has the same. I uninstalled all Razer software though already. Read somewhere that Rzer softtware can give BSOD sometimes.
