Stop sort by name in start menu?

I just noticed in my start menu -> all programs I can move items around. But when I reboot they're all reset back to alphabetical. Anyone know how to stop that resort and make it stick?

Welcome to Seven Forums.

Try Rt. click Start button/properties/customize. Uncheck 'Sort all programs menu by name'. See if that helps.

It was working, now its not. Sometimes it keeps the correct order between reboots, sometimes it resets the order by name. I always have that Sort all Programs by menu name checkbox off in Customize.

I'm lost.

Same here anybody see this also?? Happens in vista too. My list stays the way I wanted for less than a week, and then goes right back to the alphabetical order, eveb though that option is checked off and applied.

Have you tried saving your theme after making changes?
