win7 x64
I saw something unusual during the most recent security updates including KB4499164. During login, the screen turned black and a rounded corner dialog box appeared in the upper left corner (no title bar) saying something like, "Windows Desktop Update". I don't remember ever seeing this dialog before. After a couple of seconds it went away and the PC finished booting normally. Applying the same set of updates to a few almost identically configured PCs did not show any such message, so I am left wondering if this is a windows thing vs a 3rd party SW startup message.
After some searching I found that some had reported a rare bootup dialog, "personalized settings for: Windows Desktop Update", which might be what I saw. What would trigger the appearance of this message, and is there a place where pics of all the transient windows dialogs are documented?
