There is a strange item listed in my Startup list ... GizmoDriveDelegate (disabled)
- using CCleaner -> Tools -> Startup -> Windows (tab)
The EXE path is to my custom Programs Folder ... "C:\Programs2"
ie, "C:\Programs2\GizmoCentral\gizmo.exe" /RemountStartupImages
- but with view-all-files-and-folders as TRUE (including system folders ) there is no trace of "GizmoCentral" nor "gizmo.exe"

The registry key is
Code:
 HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg\GizmoDriveDelegate
Research has taken me to ...
Gizmo Drive | PCWorld ... which gives me a rough idea about "GizmoDriveDelegate "
GizmoDriveDelegate - gizmo.exe - Program Information ... near useless

Then found How to remove GizmoDriveDelegate but I am in unfamilar territory

Gizmos is not listed on "Add Remove Programs"

I would appreciate some guidance :)

It should install all sorts of software did you install it? The simplest may be to install the suite again so you can then use add remove it sounds as if something has removed some of it but left a lot

There's some info here:

Gizmo Central by Arainia Solutions - Should I Remove It?

If you don't use it - uninstall it.

If you can't see it in add/ remove programs try these commands if the files exist.

"C:\Program Files\Gizmo\gizmo.exe" /Uninstall

"C:\Program Files\Gizmo\gdirector.exe" /Uninstall

"C:\Programs2\GizmoCentral\gizmo.exe" /Uninstall

"C:\Programs2\GizmoCentral\gdirector.exe" /Uninstall

Not sure what C:\Programs2 is supposed to be but it's not a default programs directory.

EDIT:

I see C:\Programs2 is your custom programs directory.

If there is nothing in C:\Programs2\GizmoCentral then it's probably a program that was uninstalled but the startup entry wasn't removed.

In the past I've used PathTool (Path Manager) to remove invalid msconfig entries.

Check the highlighted items then click each item under "system" and check paths. If any display a red X - investigate. If anything "Gizmo" shows up - click to highlight and select the delete option.

Note: It's wise to use the backup option before going ahead.
