Solved Strange streaks on Desktop

For some time (about 1 week), I've been getting strange "light" streaks when I use the "Show Desktop" feature (hovering over the lower right rectangle in the Taskbar). This happens only when I have another window open at Maximize.

To show what I mean, here are two screen caps, the first is when I'm actually at the Desktop, the second is previewing the Desktop.

Anyone else having this situation?

P.S. I've had the same video drivers for quite some time, so I don't think that's the problem.

That's normal. It's supposed to give you the illusion of looking through a window.

Strange, but since I've had Windows 7, this never happened until recently.

Like Dwarf said it's supposed to be there. It is an image in the steam folder in the aero.msstyle it can be edited out.

It's part of Aero. If Aero is disabled for any reason, you will not get this (actually called Aero Peek).
