STRANGEST Router error ever, verizon login with netgear 3700

We have cox internet with a motorola modem and a netgear router

Recently it has been acting up with quick random drops of internet and sometimes slow page loads, it works but its just so intermittent

Anywho i finally got annoyed and tried logging into the router but it brings me to a verizon page which is so strange as we do not have verizon

Before i do a factory reset on the router i wanted to check how in the heck this even happened

YES i am connected to my network and not another wifi

If I had that problem the first thing I would do is give my ISP a call in your case that is Cox. They might be using equipment or services from Verzon.
