Streaming Video as Audio over UPnP

Hello All,

A bit of a long shot. I have a habit of keeping lots of live music on my Windows 7 Mediacenter as avi video files. I'd really like to be able to stream it to my Wireless Music Player (a Revo Mondo) over UPnP. But being an Audio device, none of the avi files are visible to it.

Has anyone found anyway of getting MCE to transcode the video on the fly to extract the audio and just stream that?

Thanks in advance!

WG

Thanks for the reply Rap. Indeed, extracting the audio from video is one approach. I'm just curious as to why I can't attach an audio device to a UPnP server hosting video and play back the audio part of the file.

Unreasonable?
