Solved striped a screw

yes i got it up to be flush, and then got it up just enough so I can grip it with pliers.

okay i managed to get it out!
heres a pic:

The technique I used was to use a rubber band for grip. I then got it up to be flush with the case, a minute later i was able to get the screw slightly past the case and used WD40 and pliers to get it out
EDIT: you can see the dust in the fan vent

yup read about it on the internets and it worked.

That's good to hear (and see). Just take care with the rest of the disassembly and subsequent reassembly. Whereas you should be able to use the other screws again (assuming that they are not stuck like this one was), I would recommend replacing this particular screw when reassembling.
